AT&T: A Leader in Technology and Inclusion

Posted on by Jose Mas

AT&T has been a leading company and a household name for decades.  And now that they have been awarded the 2012 Corporation of the Year at the 33rd Annual National Convention by The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) held in Los Angeles, they have proven to be a leader not just in technology, but in embracing diversity and inclusion.

For 40 years, AT&T has been a diversity leader and even received broad recognition for its approach to diversity and inclusion to encompass workforce, supply chain, multicultural marketing, and community involvement. In the AT&T workforce, minorities represent 39 percent, and Hispanics represent 12 percent of the total workforce and comprise 16 percent of all new hires.

Considering the rapid pace at which the American society continues to diversify, the need for corporations to hire a diverse workforce has never been greater.
