DRIVING SMALL BUSINESS GROWTH
February 16, 2012The Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Healthcare and Technology today conducted a hearing entitled Broadband: A Catalyst for Small Business Growth, in Washington, D.C. The testimonies presented at this hearing provide even more evidence of the positive relationship between broadband and economic development.
The hearing addressed the growth and importance of broadband to small businesses, including the role of the federal government in providing access to rural communities in America. During the hearing, representatives also testified about how technologies enabled by Broadband are especially crucial for economic development because they are now the necessary platforms needed for innovation in health care, education, entrepreneurship, and on so many other levels.
